About the Winery
SCUTT WINES is the culmination of 25 years of study, travel and winemaking adventures. Johnson has more than 20 years working as a buyer for one of the world’s largest wine companies, a job Johnson still does and loves. Johnson has now established his own boutique label in the Orinoco Valley in the Nelson Region.
Together with his wife, Georgie Hoby Scutt, a contemporary artist, they create wines and art that speak to the region and also to Georgie’s colourful creations.

Johnson has made wine in 10 countries and established SCUTT WINES with the 2022 vintage. Johnson wears two hats and is a wine buyer for one of the worlds largest wine companies.
